If you need help...

1. Make sure you are a resident of Wayne Township.  Even if you live in Fort Wayne, you may be living in another township.

2. You must be at least 18 years old and your household must be within the income guidelines.   (click here to see them)

3. Be prepared to provide documentation, such as:

• Social Security numbers for each member of your household

• Photo ID's for each adult

• Birth Certificates for minor children

• Proof of all income, including social benefits

• Proof of all expenses

• A copy of your rental or mortgage agreement

• Utility bills (if requesting help with them)

NOTE:  You may be asked for other documentation,

depending on the type of assistance requested.

4. Come in on your Letter Day, between 7:30 AM & 9:00 AM

   (For burial, prescription medication, and food assistance, letter days do not apply.  It may, however, be beneficial to call us to find out the ability of our staff.)
